This traditional home, located in Chicago’s North Shore suburb of Winnetka, caught my eye for its combination of beautiful design and accessible styling. Designed by the talented Bria Hammel of Minnesota- based Bria Hammel Interiors, the home is an excellent example of casual yet sophisticated design. With a neutral color palette and pops of blue, Bria made the new-build home feel established and warm without sacrificing function. Among my favorite rooms is the home office, which features beautiful Schumacher wallpaper and a designated space for the kids to work/play in proximity to their parents. The home also features three boy’s bedrooms, each with unique elements but tied together with a cohesive color scheme. The exceptional attention to detail and inviting family-friendly decor make this Winnetka home a true gem.
Hammel has also created her own line of furniture and home furnishings, Brooke & Lou, which has quickly become a go-to source for both homeowners and designers. Her collection is chock-full of classic and timeless pieces, easy to incorporate into any home.
