I could move right into this Wilmette, Illinois home! Featured in Luxe magazine, it’s the impeccable work of architect Paul Konstant, general contractor Scott Lyon, and interior designer Andrea Goldman. The homeowners wanted a forever home for their family of six, and their team delivered a beautiful home that evokes the feeling of being on a relaxing vacation.

Vaulted ceilings, hand-scraped plank floors, shiplap, and exquisite millwork are among the many great details that Konstant implemented to deliver on the owner’s wish for a coastal vibe. North shore interior designer Andrea Goldman used a calming neutral color palette of creams, grays, and blues to create an inviting family home that looks cozy and comfortable. All of the main living areas, including the kitchen, master bedroom, and screened porch, have a fireplace, which I really love. Shiplap and wallpaper throughout the home give texture and interest to the walls and ceilings. While the house is light and bright, Goldman masterfully introduced a deeper color scheme in the home office, which features bold graphic art and gray flannel wallpaper.

The open floorplan includes multiple seating areas that enable the family to spread out and is perfect for entertaining friends and family. A dining banquette plus a cozy area with four armchairs make the kitchen a perfect hang-out spot for the family. The lighting fixtures are a tad more contemporary and keep the design feeling fresh and current. In addition to gorgeous indoor spaces, the outdoor areas feature a pool, screened porch, and plenty of room for outdoor dining and relaxing.
