With a widely popular lifestyle blog and over a million Instagram followers, Julia Berolzheimer is a bonafide tastemaker. The Charleston home she shares with her husband Thomas and darling young daughter was featured in Southern Living magazine and perfectly reflects her personal style – traditional with pops of soft color and florals. Transplants from California, the Berolzheimers bought their home with the intent of significant remodeling. They enlisted award-winning Architect Beau Clowney ( you can see another one of his projects I featured here) and Charleston designer Oliva Brock of Torrance Mitchell Designs to transform the home’s awkward layout into one that works for their young family. The year-long renovation resulted in a beautiful home that exudes southern charm and provides the perfect backdrop for Julia’s gorgeous social media content. Among my favorite features of the house is the wraparound front porch that overlooks the Charleston Harbor, the hand-painted floor in the entry, and the blue and white kitchen. I also love how the home is filled with an accessible mix of antiques, custom pieces, and catalog finds. It’s bright and cheery, and I am sure you will enjoy the tour as much as I did!
