I’ve lived in the Midwest my entire life, but I love Southern style. ( I have a fantasy of sitting on a porch drinking sweet tea and being able to say “y’all” without ridicule.) Interior Designer Allison Allen’s Atlanta home is so cute y’all! Allison’s husband Beau inherited the 1950’s house from his grandmother Louise. After sitting empty for several years, it was in pretty bad shape before they started its transformation. Many thought it was a tear-down, but in two short months, Allison, who trained with designers J.D. Bell and Ashley Whittaker, transformed it into a beautiful family home that pays homage to its past but is functional for her young family. Featured in Southern Living Magazine, the home is the epitome of southern style and charm.

The entrance introduces the home’s color scheme, which includes textured neutrals with pops of blue and white. Arbour by Meg Braff Designs wallpaper makes a beautiful first impression.

Allison told Southern Living that the living room was challenging to decorate because of its 13-foot ceilings and large size. After much trial and error, Allison created two distinct seating areas to make the most effective use of the space.

Beautiful antiques bring an sense of charm and history to the living room.

Layered neutrals, animal prints, and blue and white ginger jars create a warm and stunning space for the family to gather.

The dining room features grandma Louise’s dining table and new Schumacher Madame de Pompadour wallpaper.

The breakfast nook is the perfect spot for a family meal and carries the blue and white color palette with Quadrille’s Arbre de Matisse wallpaper and chinoiserie style chairs.

The Allens were able to keep the kitchen’s original footprint intact, which helped them keep their tight two-month renovation timeline. Beaded board on the ceiling adds an abundance of interest and texture.

A framed photo of grandma Louise hangs proudly over the home bar area.

The perfectly styled bookshelves in the den, painted Farrow and Fall’s Hague Blue, provide the perfect backdrop for the cozy den.

Monogrammed pillow shams are the epitome of southern style, and I love it! Neutrals keep the primary bedroom calming and serene.

The scalloped window valance is darling in this neutral nursery.

I am obsessed with this boys’ bedroom featuring a Quadrille wallcovering. I love the adorable twin beds, the woven light fixture, and the tortoiseshell painted chest.
